The Trials of Apollo" by Rick Riordan is a pentalogy (five-book series) that follows the story of Apollo, the Greek god of the sun, music, and prophecy, who has been cast down from Mount Olympus and turned into a mortal teenager as punishment by his father, Zeus.

The first book, "The Hidden Oracle", begins with Apollo's fall from grace. Stripped of his godly powers and forced to live in the body of a 16-year-old boy named Lester Papadopoulos, he must navigate the mortal world and find a way to regain his place on Mount Olympus. To do this, Apollo is tasked with completing a series of dangerous trials and facing a mysterious force that is threatening the safety of both gods and mortals alike.

Throughout the series, Apollo, with the help of his friends—particularly Meg McCaffrey, a demigod daughter of Demeter—must confront a series of increasingly perilous quests, battle monsters, and outwit powerful enemies, including the dark forces of the ancient Greek gods. Along the way, Apollo learns valuable lessons about humility, friendship, and what it truly means to be a hero.
